Welcome to my crafting "guide"
I'll just post a few random things you should know about crafting, and try to keep it short :3
What Class should you choose?
That's depending on what you want to do. If it's only for glamours you'll most likely want LTW and WVR.
If it is to make some money then... all! Cross Class Actions are very important for HQ!
If it is to make some money then... all! Cross Class Actions are very important for HQ!
It's best to level them at the same time, since you can share your gear.
What you want is:
CRP | BSM | ARM | GSM | LTW | WVR | ALC | CUL |
Byregot's Blessing | Ingenuity II | Rapid Synthesis | Manipulation Innovation | Waste Not | Careful Synthesis II | Tricks of the Trade Comfort Zone | Hasty Touch Steady Hand II |
Before you hit lvl 50 you can use the first version of Ingenuity and Careful Synthesis.
There are more CCA available and later on you might want to change a few depending on what you want to craft.
Leveling:
The first few levels are easy, just craft everything once and get the Bonus Exp for completion.
If you have enough Gil to spare you can just spam one item, even Quick Synthesis is possible.

Don't forget the daily turn-ins for your Grand Company, try to craft things in HQ if possible, it doubles the Exp.
Later on start with the Ixali Beast Tribe (First quest is named "A Bad Bladder" from Scarlet in New Gridania).
In my case I hardly crafted anything as CUL and just threw all Beast Tribe quests on that Class.
If that's still too slow, use some of your Leve allowances, here the same: HQ grants double the Exp!
Equipment:
Until you hit lvl 50 just craft it yourself!
When you are 50: Remember those Ixali Oaknots?
Trade them in for Ehcatl Sealant and get the Artisan Set, you might want to ask someone to craft it for you in HQ.

Sometimes it's cheaper to buy it HQ from the market... just check the prices.
Crafting Rotations:
There are lots of rotations online, I recommend to just google for it.
I mainly use this one at lvl 60 and can craft everything not Master Craft with pretty much 80-100% Quality (380 CP):
/ac "Comfort Zone" <me><wait.2>
/ac "Inner Quiet" <me><wait.2>
/ac "Steady Hand II" <me><wait.2>
/ac "Waste Not" <me><wait.3>
/ac "Precise Touch" <me>
/ac "Basic Touch" <me><wait.3>
/ac "Precise Touch" <me>
/ac "Basic Touch" <me><wait.3>
/ac "Precise Touch" <me>
/ac "Basic Touch" <me><wait.3>
/ac "Precise Touch" <me>
/ac "Basic Touch" <me><wait.3>
/ac "Manipulation" <me><wait.2>
/ac "Steady Hand II" <me><wait.2>
/ac "Precise Touch" <me>
/ac "Innovation" <me><wait.2>
/ac "Basic Touch" <me><wait.3>
/ac "Precise Touch" <me>
/ac "Basic Touch" <me><wait.3>
/ac "Great Strides" <me><wait.2>
/ac "Byregot's Blessing" <me><wait.3>
/ac "Careful Synthesis II" <me><wait.3>
/ac "Careful Synthesis II" <me><wait.3>
This is using lots of CP, if you don't have enough try replacing one or two of the Precise/ Basic Touches with "Hasty Touch".
The Precise and Basic Touch in this combination tries to use Precise Touch, if that's not available it continues with Basic Touch.

If even that is not enough use this instead for 70/ 80 durability crafts (312 CP):
/ac "Comfort Zone" <me><wait.2>
/ac "Inner Quiet" <me><wait.2>
/ac "Steady Hand II" <me><wait.2>
/ac "Waste Not" <me><wait.3>
/ac "Hasty Touch" <me><wait.3>

/ac "Byregot's Blessing" <me><wait.3>
/ac "Careful Synthesis II" <me><wait.3>
/ac "Careful Synthesis II" <me><wait.3>
Make sure 2 (3)x Careful Synthesis II is enough to craft it!
What I used for 40 durability crafts before hitting 50 was (280 CP):
/ac "Inner Quiet" <me><wait.2>
/ac "Great Strides" <me><wait.2>
/ac "Steady Hand" <me><wait.2>
/ac "Advanced Touch" <me><wait.3>
/ac "Great Strides" <me><wait.2>
/ac "Advanced Touch" <me><wait.3>
/ac "Great Strides" <me><wait.2>
/ac "Advanced Touch" <me><wait.3>
/ac "Careful Synthesis" <me><wait.3>
If needed change Advanced Touch with Standard/ Basic Touch. Not really sure if this was a good rotation... It's just what I used.
At the end a few tips:
- If you sell something on the market place it 1 Gil cheaper than the next lowest price, don't cut for a few hundered or even thousand, it's not necessary.
- If you want to buy something off the market make sure you are in the same city the item is placed on the market board
or you have to pay extra tax. - Before you buy material from players check pages like ffxiv.gamerescape.com/ on how to obtain items.
Sometimes it's just sold by an NPC - Probably the best Crafting Simulator out there ffxiv-beta.lokyst.net/ come up with your own rotations
- A good database on what gear you might want and meld caps + chances ffxiv.ariyala.com/
I'll add/ edit or whatever is needed later on :3
If you see any mistakes or have any ideas feel free to tell me so!
